Home Care

Do you provide consultations?


For Home Care: The Urban Light provides free consultations for interested clients and their families via telephone. Our care coordinators are scheduled for Weekends as well, to be able to accommodate those family members who work during business hours Mon-Fri. All other services may reach out as well for a free 10 minute phone consultation. Please contact us to schedule a Consultation.




What should I cosider wen booking a Home Care Agency?


When choosing a provider be mindful of your needs and your family members needs. Matching a program and having a level of comfort is a wonderful feeling. Also, the provider should have good communication as well as clear and concise expectations of staff and families. Most importantly, Quality Care.




Are your staff certified professionals?


The staff are Urban Light are thoroughly trained in CPR/First Aid, HIPAA practices and Abuse & Neglect laws. Although they are not licensed medical professionals most are; experienced personnel and have the ability to handle a wide range of clients & challenges. The Urban Light staff are able to perform a fantastic job daily and will be professional and courteous in their roles. for Mental Health areas of need, All staff would have had to work in the mental health or human service field for atleast 1 year.




Are contracts required for service?


Yes, A contract is required for services. However if you choose to move to another provider the contract can be cancelled at anytime with one month notice. There are no fees or penalties if Contracts are terminated according to the guidelines.




When are payments due?


The Urban Light pays our staff weekly; so to ensure our business runs smoothly our policy is that Payments are due weekly on Mondays. Payments after Monday at 5:00 pm will incur a Late fee of $40.00 in addition, if Payments are not made by the next day, Tuesday at 12pm, The Urban Light will not be able to provide staffing and will end services until the issue is resolved.




Is a deposit required?


Yes, a one time deposit of $300.00 is required to hold a spot for services. This deposit is non- refundable. If a Client continues with Services, this Deposit is Used for internal services which include Admin fees & Nursing Assessment fees. In addition, If a Client opts out they forfeit the deposit. Reach out to management for depsoit specials.




What towns do you provide Home Care services in?


At this Time we offer Services in the Following County/Towns/Cities: Hartford County, which includes the towns of: Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, East Granby, East, Hartford, , East Windsor, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hartland, Manchester, Marlborough, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, Southington, South Windsor, Suffield, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, Windsor Locks. In addition, We also will Service: Middletown, Cromwell, Meriden, Wallingford, Hamden and the City of New Haven when available




Do you offer services on Holidays?


Yes, services are offered on Hoidays. Holidays are billed and covered by the client. Please see your care contract for exact details.





CPR

Which CPR provider is Used?


The Urban Light utilizes the Red Cross.




Are refunds allowed? Cancellations & Reschedules


Cancellations: If a class/consult is cancelled within 48 hours from the class start date- the deposit will be kept. However the remaining portion can be refunded to the customer. If the class is cancelled within 36 hours, 24 hours or same day cancellations, no refunds will be permitted. However, if classes are cancelled by our team; you may reschedule for another date. If you choose to cancel due to our cancellation causing you an inconvenience then you may recieve a full refund except for issues related to: inclement weather, State emergencies, State closings, Road closings & emergencies within our meeting place. In all cases, the deposit is non-refundable. Each Service will have their own deposit amount listed during purchase so please review the deposit and the FAQS. Rescheduling: A class can be rescheduled for a later date without a deposit being kept or any penalty.




Will virtual classes be held soon for CPR, Business consulting etc?


Yes, with a face to face portion requirement for CPR For Business consulting and Counseling please contact us for vrtual training questions. Virtual is not availablle for Successful & Independent youth programs & Youth Services




Do you offer a special group rate?


Yes, 6 is a group and we offer special rates for Groups for CPR/ Consults. Contact us for more information.




CPR Class Rules


No cellphone usage Must arrive prompt and on time If you leave early you will have to retake the course If you require special accomodations please email the team before booking so we can assist you promptly. No talking or interrupting the class No disrespectful behavior, agression, violence, or misconducts will be tolerated Any student dismissed from the class will not be eligible for a refund or totake any classes with us in the future.





Counseling & Life Coaching

Or the deposit can be moved to another session for a maximum of 2x's. If the class is cancelled within 36 hours, 24 hours or same day cancellations, no refunds will be permitted. Additionally, if paid in full, classes are cancelled by our team; you may reschedule for another date. If you choose to cancel due to our cancellation causing you an inconvenience then you may recieve a full refund except for issues related to: inclement weather, State emergencies, State closings, Road closings & emergencies beyond our control. In most cases, the deposit is non-refundable. Each Service will have their own deposit amount listed during purchase so please review the deposit and the FAQS.




Is virtual available?


Yes, Virtual sessions are available for Life Coaching sessions.
